Blues Weekend

June 14-17 in Eureka Springs

Eureka Springs is always a fun place to visit, but we think it’s especially fun in June. That’s when the Blues Weekend rolls into town, featuring big-name acts on the main stage in The Auditorium and free local acts at bars and restaurants throughout town.

We’re pretty excited about this year’s headlining performers, John Mayall and Carolyn Wonderland. John Mayall is a blues legend. He’s been in the business of making music for more than 50 years, and we highly recommend you catch his show. You can’t miss Carolyn, either. She hasn’t been around nearly as long as John, but she’s well-known in the blues world and more than worthy of playing on the same stage as a legend.

Aside from Blues Weekend, this month offers many opportunities for an enriching self-guided experience. Hike or bike the trails at Lake Leatherwood City Park, Black Bass Lake or downtown. We recommend the Harmon Loop Trail, located beneath the historic Crescent Hotel. There’s no telling how many cool creatures you’ll see on that hike.

Check out the big cats at Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, and maybe stay a while. Turpentine Creek is known as one of the best refuges in the United States. It won’t take you long to see why when you’re there. The animals have the best care, the staff is extremely helpful and you get to choose how you tour the facility.

Of course, the downtown shops and restaurants are booming in June. Whether you want to explore, shop or relax, you can find something to do in Eureka Springs. We hope you have the best time while you’re in town, and please come back soon!
